The gessos and primer bases serve us to provide different properties to the supports according to the technique that we are going to apply later: acrylics, oil paint, watercolor, pastel, charcoal, etc.
Primer bases allow you to create a surface on which to paint. With the appropriate base we can paint with any technique on an infinite number of surfaces.
Gesso is the most popular base to prepare a surface, since it penetrates the supports and allows the acrylic paint to adhere perfectly and also extends the life of the work of art.
